Cultist

Cultist is an Android game that pays homage to the classic gameplay and graphics of Game and Watch.

Gameplay

Cultist transports you into the eerie world of a cult member whose duty is to transport virgins from a cage to an altar for sacrifice to ancient deities. However, the monstrous Cthulhu lurks in the middle of the screen, its tentacles dangerously sweeping across the screen, ready to snatch both friend and foe indiscriminately.

As the player, you control the cult member's movement by tapping on the left or right side of the screen. Your mission is to safely transport the virgins who appear from the left side of the screen to the right side, where a sacrificial altar awaits.

Graphics and Design

The graphics and design of Cultist are a nostalgic nod to the simplicity of Game and Watch. The game doesn't rely on flashy visuals or complex graphics. Instead, it focuses on providing engaging gameplay with simple, retro-style graphics.

Challenge

The main challenge in Cultist is the ever-present threat of Cthulhu's tentacles, which sweep across the screen with no regard for who they snatch. This adds an element of suspense and urgency to the game, as you must carefully time your movements to avoid the tentacles while successfully transporting your charges to the sacrificial altar.

Despite its simplicity, Cultist manages to capture the player's attention and keep them engrossed with its unique theme and challenging gameplay mechanics.
